  1. Wow, 0 miles!!!! Waiting for that pictures
  2. Wow.... that wiring diagram looks really difficult to understand for me. I hope that my bike runs ok, otherwise I'll expend months just trying to understand that
  3. In my humble opinion original clocks are too big, I'll keep an eye on this post.
  4. I'm waiting for my 50 replies in fact
  5. Hi Slabbyruss712! How did you get those Ohlins? I mean, are they originally made for GS 1000 or from another model?
  6. One of my favourites bikes, no doubt. In Spain they are almost impossible to find
  7. Mmmm interesting, please post all the photos that you can
  8. Thanks nlovien! I'll tell you what I want to do. After taking the bike to my garage I will clean up the carbs, the gas tank, change the oil, the air filter, the plugs, charge the battery and fill up the tires. After that I will try to turn the key on and see if the control panel works, if it works a little bit of oil into the plug holes and a couple of days getting wet, move the engine by hand, see if the plugs have fire and if everything works (I know it will never happen) try to turn on the engine. After all of these things I will try to get the bike running as it is right now. In Spain MOT is horrible and changing the front end will be incredible expensive just for getting the papers so... I will try to avoid these changes but who knows...
  9. It will take several weeks until we do the paper stuff and I can take the bike to my garage. The bike is not running so I have to take it home with a van. It will be hard to load
  10. Hi no class! In fact I bought it yesterday. Well, it's still not in my garage cause we have to do papers and all that stuff but the current owner told me that it's mine so... There's a new owner in the forum
  11. You should take into account that english is not my native language. Don't be cruel!
  12. That's what I think. If it doesn't work at least I will learn something
  13. Thanks! in fact I do worry about electrics, I'm completely useful with that. But I won't say no just because of that. It deserves another opportunity.
  14. Thanks Jonny! wow, there are more resources than I was expecting.. Not bought yet but almost there. I have to call the owner again
  15. Thanks Reinhoud! another web for my favourites list
  16. I would like to modify it but the laws in Spain are really restrictive. Just an example, if you want to remove the airbox and put direct filters you need an engineer and a project for passing the ITV (our spanish MOT)
  17. Thanks! I'll take a look. Incredible useful arnout, that's exactly what I was looking for I'm afraid about electrics. Mechanical stuff is ok for me, I can fix things but electrics... my brain came without that part Wow, if I buy the bike I will spend hours in this web. Thanks! Great web, there are several models in fact so we can choose the right one.
  18. Thanks Wolf! BTW, did anyone find the web with the GSX 1100 pdf?
  19. In fact I tried to but the lock was stucked and I didn’t want to Force it. Thanks!
  20. Thanks @Swiss Toni After reading all of you the bike is winning points
  21. Thanks for all your advices. @arnoutI think that the airbox was there when the bike was running but now it’s lost . I forgot to say that it is not running since 10 years ago. It has papers and it is affordable in my opinion, 600€.
  22. Wow!!! What an incredible welcome!!! It looks like there are a lot of mad people here, I like it The register number for the bike is: GS110527027 I do not know if it can be useful to know if it is a ET or a EX. What are the differences between them?
  23. Hi everybody, First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Nacho (yes, like the mexican food ) and I live in the sunny Mallorca, Spain. Some days ago I saw a bike and after talking to the owner he told me that is on sale if I want to buy it. I am not a suzuki oldskool expert so I need some help from you. This is the bike that I'm talking about: All I know is that it's a suzuki GSX 1100 from 1982. The owner says that it's a GSX 1100 EX but I'm not sure about that and after googleing it I saw that there are several versions of this bike. How can I say which model is it? Next question is: As you can see the airbox filter and the side panels are missing, any special web to buy this parts? In spain this bike was not sold a lot so... I am completely lost. Another question: any place to download a PDF with the deatiled parts, the manual, the haynes or whatever? And the last but not least question, anything to say about this bike? is it reliable? is it fast? any common fail? Thanks in advance!
