Just refreshed oil and filter on my bike.

Now a mate is offering me a very nice cooler with goodridge lines for almost no money....

If I swap coolers and lines, do I need to drain all new oil again or is there another way? Jack up front of bike?

But anyway.. Yes, very useful. On aircooled GSXs fitted with a large oil cooler that is. (Do a search for my rants). I have no grasp of oilboilers though (don't these have an internal oilstat?)

No experience with the very nice looking Earls one though. Seems very expensive..! I've been using the cheap Mocal oilstats (OT/1) for many years myself, but only once had the oilstat stuck in bypass-mode.

For my Kat I built an oilstat into de filter cover plate to be able to do away extra hoses and avoid the tight bends in them to fit the Mocal oilstat.

That’s what I thought... so I ordered an axle for it and received one which is too large in diameter. Think the guy selling this axle to me offered it as being 94-95 but it actually is not.... fortunately I can return it without costs. 

Now need to figure out why my 20mm axle seems too short..

So... put this braced swing in my 89 750 frame. Wheel axle is 20 mm diameter but seems a bit too short... ( approx 5mm )

I suspect one of the “sliding block” for chain adjustment is wrong : too thick? Maybe?

Who can advise which combination should work ?

On my bike (gsxr1127) original cables were very small. I did replace them for 16mm2 which works very well. I think there’s a lot of difference in how supple the cables are. Mine are originally from Hardly Dangerous...
