  1. Mounting holes are (centre to centre) 85mm on the fronts if that's any help....
  2. Hi all Just wondering if anyone can tell me if any other calipers from, say, a bandit or anything else will fit in as a direct swap on my GSX600fr (1995) The calipers I have are completely shot. Rebuilding them would cost an absolute fortune, not to mention the hassle. On the front right, for instance, only 1 piston actually moves. Everything else is seized solid. Just want to go get something else and bolt them on, if that's possible? Both front, plus the rear. Any help gratefully accepted
  3. Sums me up. Mostly useless but now and again ......
  4. Loving this. She who thinks she must be obeyed must like it too. She just rolled her eyes and let out a deep sigh... Called me "Lord", At least that's what I think she meant
  5. Excellent!!! So then it's just slave cylinder , handlebar mounted cylinder and Bobs your Uncle. (Can I say that? Difficult these days, some plonker might complain that calling Bob your uncle Is actually assuming gender roles...)
  6. Anyone done this yet? Got a slightly dodgy left hand from a bike accident years ago on a non Suzuki (it was a work bike, not mine so don't judge) Done it on a 125 and it worked well with cheap bits off fleabay but not seen much for teapots
  7. best get some pennies saved up..... so many ideas.... Brilliant stuff guys
  8. My juices are flowing now.... see if the wallet can stretch a bit... Bad influences? That depends on perception. Sounds ruddy awesome!!!
  9. On the old Beemer I had metzelers front and back. Couldn't get a replacement metz for the rear and they recommended a continental. The fairing made front too light, had massive tank slapper and the front end went. Apparently happened to loads of people with fairings. Missus flogged the bike whilst I was laid up in bed (can you believe it?) and the guy who bought it kept the tyres as they were. Worked ruddy perfectly. Just looking to see exactly what works on the GSX600F. I heard that Michelin pilots were good. wondered what else there was.
  10. Sounds expensive. Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to buy a newer bike? Of course, not as much fun in that, but to justify the money to the other half might not be so easy
  11. OOOhh sounds good.... Would the brakes be up to it? What about the front end and rear shock? Hmmmm....Got me thinking...
  12. I have a GSX 600 FR (1995) and wondered what tyres were good for it? Not sure what I have at the moment, forget what they are and bike isn't here at the moment but in the wet it handles like a supermarket trolley. Good in the dry but awful in the wet. Are there any tyres out there that are good in both dry and wet? Had a really bad accident years ago due to a tyre mismatch (although the bike shop , BMW, Metzeler and Continental all said it was a good combination. They forgot to test it with a bike with a fairing...) and don't want the same again. Instinct for self preservation has kicked in with age. This also means that instead of pubs, I now enjoy tea rooms. Please, shoot me, lol
