Well got home from work went in the garage total chaos air box full of fuel, cylinders full of fuel, and sump full of fuel with that much leakage the fuel tap must be faulty.I have ordered a repair kit plus an extra stand alone hi flow vacuum fuel valve plus a set of genuine suzuki float valves as when I checked the originals they all had a wear ring in the rubber cone and the little sprung loaded post on a couple was getting stuck.lets hope I've got it sorted

The tap is working fine and I dont seem to have any fuel smell from my filler hole I think the fuel leaking from the rear of the carb is what's left in the fuel pipe it just over fuels really bad when its running

Hi guys and girls this problem with my 1200 inazuma is doing me in.statred it tonight very reluctant then start then for ten minutes it was bellowing out a smoke and petrol smell strange thing it was ticking over just fine and revved up fine but the smoke smelled so rich I've just replaced the carb needles with genuine suzuki items just last week, and when I turn it off petrol is oozing from the back of number 2 carb.is there anyone on here who can rebuild carbs and test them I got three other projects on the go that all will need rebuild kits I'm a man on the edge

I can probably macine a new one to fit ive not looked at the B6 one yet but the bike is a 2000 mk1 so could that be welded or pressed in ?? I will take a look tonight.im keen to get on the new cnc lathe at work so a new one shouldn't be a problem
Thanks

Ok thanks for the reply

Hi guys and girls Will I be able to fit the 750m front end into my B6 project or will I need a modified stem.
Thanks
-
I'm currently putting a 750m engine in a bandit 6 I'm going to keep the bandit loom and ecu the 750 red line is 13k and the bandit 12k so I'm thinking there is no chance of over revving the 750 engine with the bandit ecu

Thank you

I'm just going to order new oil and filter do the valve clearances.might order a new cam chain tensioner.was quite surprised that all the orings rubber gaskets needed were not very expensive so happy about that too.

there's your answer
Was wanting to know if it's better to set them the higher end or lower end of the range

What is the correct valve clearance for a 1200 bandit I currently have 0.30 on exhaust and 0.25 inlet should I be looking for 0.12 inlets and 0.20 exhaust manual says 0.10- 0.15 and 0.18-0.23
Thanks

Took the top off all looks fine one camshaft lobe has a very small blemish but theres no significant wear on the cam lobes unlike my old bandit which had big tram lines and burrs on the edges.of the lobes

If the oil is overheated (not good) then lubrication is lost and metal to metal contact is likely! Top ends are susceptible as farthest from pump and hottest part of engine. I'd seriously have a look under the rocker cover before using it again - a rattle is never a good noise!
Ok thanks for your reply sounds sweet when it's cold started it this morning I will take the top off and look

Hi got my old project up and running (inazuma 1200 )after it's been sitting at the back of the garage for 6 months .the bike starts fine and runs great when it's cold but took it out today and while sitting in traffic noticed a real harsh rattle when I revved the engine seems to come from the rocker cover area it has also developed alot of vibes at 3-4 k rpm .It has been really hot today 30+ degrees is this just normal noise for a very hot oil cooled engine the bike has done 32k miles.i took it out a few hours later and the vuibes are still there up to 4k rpm and the harsh rattle started again when it got hot
Carb problems I've had enough
