what are your intensions for it ? could be worth a bit if its clean as they are thin on the ground !!!
I was going to butcher it for a project but a mate of mine reckons I should restore it back to original.its in quite a bad way I drained the oil but 1/2 liter of water came out first it does turn over but compression is low.its been outside for 10 years the frame is bleached white by the sun the carbs are seized solid.Going to give it some thought see where I go with it

Hi.ive just got my blandit project home and i just noticed it's got 1156 stamped on the barrels I was under the impression 1200s were never stamped.the engine number starts V19 so it's a bandit engine it's on a M registration plate so a very early model.did some bandits have the capacity stamped on them
Thanks

Hi guys hope it's ok to post this on here.along side my old oil burners I have a gsxs1000 I decided to have a full system with a decat fitted and a remap in was really pleased with the results 163 rwhp 85 ftlbs torque. But I have an issue that the headers glow red about 3 inches from the head I spoke to the guy who did the remap and he said its because im running with the baffle and it was remapped without it.i find it hard to believe so I thought I would ask you knowledgable lot is he trying to fob me off
Thanks

Hi everyone I just picked up a 1200 blandit that has been standing a few years I also got a box or spares which I found a dyno jet box in.the bike runs like crap so would it be better to go back to basics and remove the dyno jet kit I also found 16 fouled spark plugs in with the spares.its fitted with a micron delta system which looks like a quality exhaust but being that micron died a while ago is this a good system to use.your infinite wisdom is greatly appreciated

Cheers guys it just seems the donor bike I purchased for my project is a righ lemon everything I remove from it is knackered even the main fork bodies are dented corroded and generally f##ked I've looked at a few re chroming sites cheapest is £175 for the pair.

Hi guys the seals were leaking on my 750m forks and on closer inspection they are really worn out chrome all gone around the seal area. What are my options is it possible to remove the bottoms of the forks if so how do they come apart ?? And is re chroming an option ?? This project I'm doing is getting quite pricey.
Thanks

That's what I'm going to do I think

Hi guys just did a compression test on my 750m engine after discovering its true miles 72k.i got 115psi on 1 2 3 cylinders and 20 on number 4 as the bike has not run for 5 years could this be a gumned corroded valve seat ?? Should I run it to seeif if it mproves the other 3 readings are very close together
Thanks

When I get the engine in the frame I will do a compression check the engine looks really clean Hardly any engine paint missing just the exhaust studs needed some drilling
-
I saw the original bike before it was butchered for its bits that was about 6 years ago and it was a good runner.

Hi guys when I bought my 750m engine it was fitted in a low rider frame which was an unfinished project i was just sorting through some parts tonight and I came across the reg number from the engine thought I would check on dvla site shock horror 37k miles on the last mot but the biggest shock was the 72k miles it had on it the year before.wonder how much life it's got left in it

I've replaced the float valves did a bench test with about 200ml of fuel all good after 2 hours.i think the tap is intermittently working so will replace the diaphragm in that as well
