  1. That's annoying , anyone know are these the correct springs ?
  2. Ran out of wire from the starter to the relay to get it mounted behind the fuse box looks like I'm losing my little space for my disc lock
  3. Stock for now , will put risers in eventually had a little off at the weekend so gonna get fairings sorted after forks are done
  4. Well it's In anyway , some wiring and relays to be moved and everything needs tightened up ,
  5. Yeah it's a road bike , Im 100kg in my birthday suit
  6. Here's the first part of the puzzle anyway , just have to figure out how to strap up the bike now as iv loaned my engine crane out
  7. Just recieved my s1000rr rear shock today 8.5kg/mm and have ordered some k-tech front springs 1kg/mm racetech calculator says i need a 9.7 kg/mm shock spring and .99kg/mm fork springs, for my weight, i know the bmw shock is closer to what i need but would it be worth getting a 9.5kg/mm spring for it ? The forks will be rebuilt with anything needed supplied by the local mechanic. Has anyone a similar setup ? or care to chip in with some advice
  8. Was out today and I don't think the bike could run much better , had a few runs with a 03 cbr600rr and we were very similar his should make 117 bhp from factory and I'm probably 25kg heavier never mind the bikes weight . I'll get a K&N see how it goes as I probably do need a filter anyway. I have a s1000rr shock ordered though as my shocks acting funny
  9. Won't be putting pods on it just a drop in filter in the air box.
  10. My bikes in gettin a valet and once over at the mechanics, he says it's running slightly rich and the floats need to be adjusted. The exhaust tip has some black soot on it but the plugs I pulled when I converted to coil on plug last week were perfect. i bought the bike standard and have added a 4-2-1 Sebring exhaust system and converted to coil on plug. The bike runs strong and smooth apart from a slight flat spot around 4500-5500 I think , revs out perfect starts easily every time hot or cold. I don't want to go through the expense of a carb service on a bike that runs just fine at the moment. I think I will fit a high flow air filter instead which should lean it out a bit for now and get the carbs serviced in the winter if I still think it needs it Does anyone have any opinion/experience of similar ? And what is better for the gsxr K&N or a pipercross foam
  11. Bikes running better than ever on the new coils really smooth now the old leads and caps were well past their best
  12. Gsxr 1000 coils in , new plugs , started first touch no choke and sounding sweet only ran for a few seconds on the fuel in the bowls. Having issues refitting the tank petrol lines are a pain
  13. So i washed the bike thisevening, same story missfire running shit hard start, contemplating a change to 02 600 coil on plug setup has anyone here done this ?
  14. Thats possibly it, there was a lot of steam rising off the headers
  15. did anyone ever use dieelectric grease on the electrical connections to keep water at bay, havnt gotten to go near the bike since i got it home hopefully this evening i will have some time
  16. So I was at tandragee road racing today and it rained pretty bad , bike started fine on the half choke as normal and idled fine. But a few miles out the road it started missing and dying fought with it for about 15 miles to a petrol station , stopped it but it wouldn't start until I had the choke fully open. Foughtvit for another 5-10 miles then it came back to normal as the roads dried up. I'm presuming it's water getting somewhere it shouldn't. Anyone any ideas where to start on a fix for this on a 91M , on my old sv it was water getting up on the front plug a extended rad guard sorted it out
