  1. found a completely shagged ET tank in USA for £100, or a brand new still in box tank for £600!!!!!!
  2. Anyone know if this is possible? i know the rear mount will need modifying but it looks like it will fit. Has anyone done this or know any reason why it will not fit with a bit of chopping and welding? I have been searching for a tank for my project GS but options are limited. I would really like a GSX1100ET tank but they are like rocking horse poop. There are a few on Eblag but only in the USA and are the smaller capacity versions. Any other hints/tips/ideas most appreciated. TIA

    Lucky Me

stop typing on here and get your spanners out then!
  4. cut the remaining thread off the mount, make a small jig that slides over the mount with a hole in so you can use it to drill into the mount square and true. then drill to the required size, tap it and insert some threaded stud bar, with threadlock. cut the threaded bar off so you have the right length thread protruding from the mount. This is a mod that i have seen and done many times with success and no problems.
  5. nice job, dont see many shafties modified to that extent. well done, looks good!
  6. the bodies were painted with Gunkote (Cerakote) when i bought them. I dont usually like painted carbs but these were quite well done and looked ok. The rest of the carbs were in a right state, considering i bought them as "fully refurbished and ready to fit"!!!!!!
