  1. Managed to slip a thunderace 48mm Rwu front end in with some bearing and stem mods.

Had the full rebuilt front end sat around so made use of it plus had a Marvic Penta front suited along with pvm discs.. just calipers to sort and that's the front done..

    onto the back next

  2. Am in dire need of a 87 slab 750 loom due to previous owners attempts to run koso dash and just general bad bodges for a streetfighter attempt..

Want to run it all back to stock incl bodywork etc.

    Question is...

Are all oil cooled "main" looms compatible or do i require early 85-87 specific ?

  3. All tl's give off a light ticking noise..thats std on them and i would worry if it didn't..

Very hard to give a diagnosis without being  able to hear it but they are prone to having clutch and starter bearing failure if sat more than used..as are most big twins.

God i miss my old tlr..the only bike i do deep down regret selling..cracking bikes.:tu

  4. I'm in the process of taking out the stage 1 dynojet kit on my carbs ie / stepped needles / main jets / pilots / dj emulsion tubes etc as going to go down the factory stage 3 route. yes no doubt going to be a pain to set up but will keep me and the dyno man busy..

I need to run the stock suzuki emulsion tubes and just curious if anyone has the part numbers to hand or parts fische link etc

    Cheers

  5. Sounds like a pilot or air leak issue for sure.

Going up 15 on each of the mains is bit to much for just a stubby end can. i would try starting with 105's and mixtures to 1 3/4.

As gixer1460 suggests check them inlet rubbers but also whip the tops off and check the rubber diaphragms are seated proper along with no cracks/pinholes..

While your at it check fuel tap/vac etc...would still recommend checking them pilots again and size to see if stock etc.

  6. I'm sure the bmw rate is 8.5kg std?.

     k6-k7 750's are 9.5kg  work well

     k7-k8 1000 10.1 kg  work well fast road/track

Not sure 100% on the srad shocks but they are in the low 7kg range and renowned for being a bit on the too softy softy side...Also too long on stock knuckle etc

Also varies on what bottom link/dogs etc your running but you should find a big improvement on any of the k6/k7 750 / k7 k8 1000 shocks
