Gilfi Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Hey guys, I have a question about rejetting carbs. Had a search around but didn't find anything useful. My 82 Kat has a Wiseco 1166 kit in it with some (unknown brand) lumpy cams. I need to put the standard airbox shit on to pass inspection as well as the standard 4-2 pipes. I would need to put the standard carbs on too but was wondering if anybody has done something similar. I don't need exact settings but just looking for a ballpark setting so it doesn't run too badly. I also haven't tried anything with the standard carbs as I'm in the process of cleaning them up. The current carbs are flatslides from a gsxr750 with no tuning etc, just whacked them on and rode the bike twice. They also have a leaking problem where the petrol will just piss out of the left hand side carb. Thanks Quote
manden Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 try 125. my gsxr passes inspection with the chokiest db killer, 135 jets and 40 pilots on the bst36ss carbs. its for noise only Quote
Gilfi Posted September 20, 2018 Author Posted September 20, 2018 Thanks for the info manden. I have read other internet posts where they have actually increased the jet size after installing the kit but then they returned to the standard jet size and it actually ran better. I'll probably end up trying both ways. Quote
