richyrich Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 Why does the float valve stop sealing properly and flood the thing every morning. last month it's great, then this weak problems. Before last month it unsealed for a weak. I can't have this every morning. It's got a fuel filter. The intake, carb and filter I cleaned out a thousand miles Is that right. If I blow through the fuel hose after draining it I can checuuk the float valve Quote
Danm54 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Still got the cv carb on it? Once mine started playing up no amount of rebuilds/cleans sorted it. Got a pumper carb in the end and never looked back. Quote
richyrich Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 Does the float needle only go on the float cradle one way? Quote
Danm54 Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Think it can go in either way but if its worn then it might seat one way but not the other. Could turn the fuel off every night to help but it won't solve the problem. Quote
richyrich Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 I'll try it the other way, I think it got turned around last time it was out. I do turn the fuel off if I remember, I'm waiting for a fag smoker to get a surprise lolz. Probably be me Quote
richyrich Posted January 22, 2018 Author Posted January 22, 2018 I think it goes either way cos the pin swivels in its wire link. Predictably it's made it worse. Ive bent the tang up a touch so valve closes earlier. Can anyone confirm that's the right way, I get confused with float levels Quote
