Zracing Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I just bought a1980 GS1100E the bike is set up for braket racing. My question is jetting for the carbs, it has an open pipe and K&N filters. I think the main jet is way too fat a 145. The pilot jet is a 45 which is factor size. I was thinking of going with jet sizes 130 on mains and 55 on pilot. Would also like too know what position the clip should be on the needle They are factor 34mm VM carbs. If anyone could give me advice I would surly take it. Thank you!! Quote
wraith Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 You should not need to change the pilot jet with the standard carbs unless you are going for a very big big bore, I would go for a 134 main jet with the needle in the center groove. Quote
