chippy954 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Good evening.I have finally found a GSXR750-WR Swingarm to fit to my 750-M. Am sure this has been asked but……What else do I need to make it fit a 750-M Frame ie,Linkages,Rear Wheel,Caliper and Caliper Bracket? Quote
Upshotknothole Posted January 14 Posted January 14 The complete W swing arm, linkage, and the complete rear axle, wheel, cush drive, caliper hanger and spacers. The stock spacers from the M swing arm will slide inside the ones in the pivot on the W. The only part of the stock M parts you'll be keeping are the pivot bolt and the spacers. Once you have it apart, it's pretty easy to figure out how it goes together. 1 Quote
chippy954 Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 Thanks for that info.Sourcing info I had same result on swingarm pivot bolt so ticked that box.Guessed I would need caliper hanger as it doesn’t have the torque arm like the earlier slingshots.Didnt know about having to source a complete back wheel though. chippy954 Posted January 15 Author Posted January 15 Spent the last hour or so surfing and found just about everything I need except for Linkage Dogbones. Am waiting for a reply from lust racing to see if they can manufacture some standard length. Quote

Upshotknothole Posted January 15 Posted January 15 It's one of those swaps that's super easy if you have a donor bike to pull the whole swing arm and rear end off of. The stock M wheel can work, but you'll need custom spacers made up. I had wanted to swap W wheels onto my M last year before doing the swing arm swap, but no matter what mix of M and W parts I used, it wouldn't sit right. Since I already had the swing arm and was planning on doing the swap this winter it was easier to just wait and do it all at once. The straight spoke W wheels are also lighter than the curved spokes on the M. The front wheel is a direct swap and keeps the speedo drive if you want to make sure the wheels match and drop a little weight at the same time. I think the dog bones on the 750 W are the same as on the 1100 W, and most of the other parts seem to still be pretty easy to find on Eblag, it's just the swing arms that are getting rare at this point. Good luck with the swap, and post up photos when you do it. It'll help the next person that decides to do it. Quote
chippy954 Posted Thursday at 08:34 AM Author Posted Thursday at 08:34 AM Yes,I will take Pics when I get all parts together. If I can use the M rear wheel I will use it and machine some spacers up as I prefer the style over the straight spokes. 1 Quote
