Lonewolf Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I have a 1980 Suzuki GS 550E that I made into a cafe racer. I have removed the air box and replaced it with air pods. I recently had the bike idling at 1,800-2,000 rpms and decided to take it for a short ride in my neighborhood. I had the bike up fourth gear and heading for 5th and 6th gear when the bike just stopped! Then it wouldn’t start! I fun pushing that bike home and now is sitting with an auxiliary fuel tank, with the air pods off and still won’t start. I appreciate and help I can get! Thanks Quote
Toecutter Posted October 1 Posted October 1 The carbs will need rejetting to suit not having an airbox. It'll be running rather lean now with pods and those open pipes... Quote
PaintItBlack Posted October 1 Posted October 1 “It just stopped “ sounds electrical to me, although you will need to rejet for your mods, have you got a spark ? 2 Quote
