Graeme Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 What's the deal with these? The bike I bought needs new ones but I haven't got it here to inspect. It's a 1990. Just had a look on folwers site and they are £250! Can't seem to find them anywhere else apart from a dubious Eblag listing with a generic photo of 2 bearings when this link takes 5. Are they available at reasonable prices? Or is the only other option to find a decent used one? It's making the sssa swap even more appealing! Quote
Graeme Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 Can't find the bearings cheap anywhere else. They are 20x27x23.5. It seems though that the width is what makes them suzuki only. 20mm or 25mm wide are available, I'll see when it's apart If it can be modified to use a generic size. Quote
Toecutter Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Have you tried wemoto? They list the swingarm bearing kit which also includes the bearings for the cusion. £85. Just double check all parts required are included. This was a search for 1990 slingshot 750... Quote

I did look there, but didn't find swingarm bearings either. I'll look again Quote
Graeme Posted October 1, 2023 Author Posted October 1, 2023 Yep, thanks. I was looking in the wrong section, was looking under suspension. They list a kit, 2 swingarm bearings, 2 linkage bearings, and 2 sleeves. £85. It takes 4 linkage bearings though and they don't sell them separately by the looks of it. It helps, but doesn't solve the issue completely. I'll e.mail them, see what they say. I'm preempting myself a little as i havent picked the bike up get. Just getting my head around the issues I already know about. Raring to get stuck in and parts research is all I can do right now. Possible it only needs 2 of the bearings anyway 20mm wide ones are £6.50 each though, I'll still see if some simple spacers will let those work if I can. Quote
