Nick_C_Hotrods Posted July 19, 2023 Author Posted July 19, 2023 (edited) Was offered a Dot Head motor for £30, which was incomplete but I had a box of bits to build it, so out with the old and in with the new You have to remove the rocker cover and rear LH cam cap to get it in ! Turns out the guy had had the cams out so prob not the hight lift ones anymore, and it needs timing up! Yes I rattle canned the frame black Edited August 10, 2023 by Nick_C_Hotrods typo 2 Quote

Nick_C_Hotrods Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 Turns out the 750 Dot head engine was a load of scrap, doesn't turn over easily, removed the head and the crank seems tight Tried to rebuild another motor with whats laying around using another 748 bottom end, the 748 head needs repair. Fail You can't put a 749 head on a 748, it fits but the cams ate wrong and full the head Quote
Nick_C_Hotrods Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 On the plus side I have a new Guiliari seat cover and a Powerscreen rear caliper fits perfect. The old Suzuki calipers I was given don't fit ( front), seems they use a different mounting bracket. Quote
Nick_C_Hotrods Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 So now I need a GS550 RH caliper mount Quote
