Craig-Katana750-85 Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Hi All I am sure the information is in here somewhere but I am hoping someone has specific knowledge. I have an unmolested 85 Katana pop up 750. We all know the suspension limitations so it is time to upgrade the front and rear.. and in the case of the front without hitting dangerous trail numbers. My question - what is the easiest decent upgrade that does not require an engineering degree or too much bodywork work. Im looking to use it on the road so doesn't need to be race oriented changes. Many thanks in advance Quote
Peterrr Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 My popup kat has a front and rear from a GSXR750W from 1992. The USD was easy, you only need to cut a little away in the front fairing to make room and you need to lower the mudguard so it won't hit the bodywork. The rear swingarm took some cutting and welding to get it in there, so that was not an easy swap. You can also use the front fork and rear wheel from a GSX750F (teapot) and upgrade the original shock with a replacement from Hagon or YSS. Quote
Peterrr Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 And this is how it looks at the moment. 8 Quote
