Crannkshaft and case...

Hi to all.

I'm new of the forum. I'm writing from Italy.

I like the oil cooled engines for their many modification possibilities.

Now i'm planning to build an Endurance bike with a modified 1990 GSX750F frame (the GR78A) and a 1991 GSX-R 750 engine (R716 series), as admitted by the Open class tech specs of he European Endurance Classic.

My question is:

Since i have three R712 engines (GSXF750 short stroke) to use for experiments, i would like to know if someone can tell me if the 1027 GSXR crankshaft can be inserted in the R712 case. Looking related workshop manuals i seen that the crank pins diameters are corrisponding, but dont find anywhere if the distance of these supports are permitting this mix.

There' another difference in piston pin diameters, but this is a problem that i think can be solved in a second time.

Thank you to all.

Luigi.
