Vagabond
Hi everyone! New poster here. Just bought a project motorcycle last week. It's a 1980 gs250t. It had the chain pop off and break the clutch push rod and the other owner couldn't get a replacement part. I bought it and found the part, and when I went to replace the oil seal it didn't seem to fit. It is just an empty metal hole in the side of the case with some scratches I assume are from the last owner trying to remove the seal. My dilemma is that no diagrams seem to be correct for the bike. They look like the seal should just insert from outside, or perhaps into some sort of sleeve or bushing that I don't see on my engine. Other similar models seem to say I would have to split the cases and insert the seal from the rear. Does anyone here have any experience with this year of the gs250T?
