Chris92 Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Looking for a bit of help or advice. I have a 98 gsx750w and I've bought a gsx1100f engine. From what I've found out I believe the gsxr1100 carbs and cdi are the same as the gsx750w but the gsx1100f arnt the same. Question is could I still fit the engine and maybe run 34mm keihin carbs from my 750 on the gsx1100f that should have 34mm mikuni. Also could I change block connector on cdi to fit a different cdi or would I require a new harness. Never done a engine swap before so unsure on alot of it Quote
davecara Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 The 1100 will run on either carbs (just fit the right carb rubbers) and either CDI. I think the only real difference between the CDI’s is the Rev limit. Should just be a matter of swapping the plugs on the existing loom if you’re using the 1100 cdi Quote
Chris92 Posted January 15, 2020 Author Posted January 15, 2020 Brilliant so change carb rubbers and get a 1100 cdi and change plug. I can manage that I recon. Cheers for the info Quote
