Front sprocket

Am I right in saying the 12 bandit front sprocket nut come off anti clockwise, I’ve got mine in top gear with the rear brake cable tied and it’s still turning the engine over, could I use a impact driver or is that a no no coz of the bearing behind

yes its normal, i have used an impact driver and before i had one i stuck a bit of 4x4 in the rear wheel, and used a 3 foot breaker bar, never had a problem
