Huge747
Hi and greetings from Sweden ! I used to run only aircooled bike's , but i now got my hands on a oilcooled 1100.. I've got a question about the GSXR 1100 head , not the one's with shims. Does anyone now appx CFM for a std head ? The same Q for a ported head with 31/27 valves. I do now it depends a lot on the quality of the porting , but maybe someone can give me a hint... I 've got a GSXR 1100 engine with 1216 barrels and try to workout a good setup. manden
Dunno about flownumbers, but I would go for 30/26 instead. Quote Link to comment
manden
suzas newest 1000cc with 199hp has 31.5mm/24mm valves. Titanium goes without saying Quote Link to comment
NipsuGoesRace
Stock head's intake flow is about 90-95 cfm at 10" of water at 8.8mm lift and ported it's about 25-30% more. 30mm valve can add another 10% more flow. Difference between 30mm and 31mm valves aren't significant and 31 mm valve doesn't even fit very well to the stock valve seat. Stock exhaust side is about 80-85 cfm at 8.2 mm lift. 1 Quote Link to comment
