Hi,I have an 1100H that I've been running 1100M forks and yokes in for a few years. I'm putting a k8 1000 front end in now.I have a bearing conversion kit,but the ground top bearing race is wider in diameter than the frame bearing cup.resulting in the tapered bearing fauling the bearing cup in the frame. The only way I can see a way around this is to either shim the bearing race up,or grind a tapered relief clearance in the frame under the race.any info appreciated.TIA

First time posting, was wondering if I could get some insight from the gurus on here. I have an 86 Slabside 750, just about completed an 89 fork swap for the 17 inch wheels, but after throwing the fairings on I noticed I lost a crazy amount of handle bar clearance inside the front fairing. My master cylinders in the proper locations will touch the fairings on both sides, meaning I can’t even steer the forks. I did a fair amount of research but I don’t think I read anything about this. Any insight would be great! For now I’ll have to run the bike naked.

Hello everyone! My first post here, thank you for having me. I'm riding a '97 B6 with a few upgrades (.85kg racetech springs, holeshot stage 1, '94 gsxr750 shock, vance&hines can) and looking to add some nicer forks and brakes before my first track season next year. I feel like I've looked pretty hard for the information to do this but it eludes me. I'm trying to figure out what is involved in this process. From what I gather, if I want newer forks and brakes the entire front end needs to be replaced (triples, axle, wheels) and I'm having difficulty finding which forks make sense geometry-wise and the nitty-gritty details like pressing bearings and required fab work. Can anyone point me to a project where someone walks through the process or sites with compatibility information? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!
