Could I use this size on my 1100et or will the change in profile make that much difference?

I'm not that arsed if i'm honest just didn't know if it was 1135 standard, engine number matches the v5 and the numbers haven't been molested so i'll get on with it. Thanks for the help

Just looked at the v5 for the gsx1100et i've just bought and the engine size is down as 1135cc, date of first registration is 30/03/81, is this the right size engine or is it a mistake?

The bike i have just bought doesn't have a left handle bar switch, could i just fit one of the 750 or are they different? not bothered about the looks but is the wiring the same? ta

Just found out my bike has got a bit of a rusty fuel tank, i've seen worse but mine has a few holes in the bottom, probably 2mm is the worst one, is there any form of patching i can buy over the counter to seal it, having it brazed has been suggested or tig welded but i don't have mates in the trade or anyone who will do stuff on the cheap is there a cheap diy option?

Thanks for the comments, my intention is to get it to usable condition and do a rolling and running resto, just managed to buy an exhaust and a headlamp and fairing quite cheaply but both are in keeping with the rest of the bike ie: running and riding, simply can't justify a full restoration as my other bike is the daily user, this is a great place to come to for the advice we all need when getting a bike together and does help get the motivation going!

I may well have one lined up but in case it falls through what have you got and how much is it? ta

Can anybody tell me what other exhausts will go on my newly aquired gsx1100et? the one on it is a rusted out alfa, can't justify throwing new prices at one so wondered what other models would fit?

it's an 1100 just going to do a proper rattle can and wire brush resto to start and get it up and running for the spring!

After losing heart with the gsx750 i bought, saw this on gumtree yesterday and picked it up today £650 lighter, really don't know whether to laugh or cry at the moment, i'll probably pluck up the courage in the morning to get it unloaded!

I'm struggling to find a tank for my gsx750et project bike, seems the 1100 tanks are hard to get too-anyone had any experience of fitting another tank relatively easily?

Still finishing off my other project so haven't got round to starting this one, i'm finding lots of things about these and really looking forward to starting to strip it, it's quite hard finding the bits i need for it but i've got time

The number starts GS75X-100*** Does that mean anything to you?

Not thought that much about it-get it running first also need a tank and seat, why would it have a 1100 swinging arm does it allow a wider tyre?
