In this video we will talk about the preliminary engine configuration, what pistons will be used and why. And we will also install the front fork on GSXR!

Last one I measured was 21ml but it had been skimmed.
I have it said on hear before 28cc.
Thanks mate!

Hello.
You can measure the chamber volume as in the video below from 11:30.yes, I know).
But I think here many times people have measured this volume and it is known -
Guys, please remind me what is the volume of the combustion chamber in the 1100 head? As far as I remember 28сс?

In this video I will talk about the new brake mechanisms for the GSX-R 1100, as well as show some of the preparatory work for assembling a new engine.

Well it isn't a race bike, it was built for the road and it is the only cooling. Mind you it does have a billet bespoke big block with extensive finnage so that helps!
I'm just wondering where to place the oil cooler. Leave it in a standard place and have an intercooler in front of it, or move it somewhere. My block is 1127 standard (1216). I might be able to use second small oil cooler, but I would like to leave the headlights in their place).

Another series of the project! This time we will deal with the rear suspension. Let's try different options, and show where we left off.

In the meantime, we are working on the project, we organized a special issue with the unpacking of various parts that I managed to get for the project. Therefore, this series will be devoted to them).

In the third part of our series, we dismantled the engine to the end, and it became clear the state of all its elements. Also, the frame was freed from all attachments.

The second series of the turbo-grandfather project, already on the channel)

Not much work when both motors are removed. At the same time, you can check the valve clearances, and if necessary, adjust them. All this can be done in half a day.

Hi PASIS , yes we are talking 1000 , with regards to your , crankshaft timing disc recommendation , does that involve a engine strip down ? Thing is I’m looking to do as little Mechanical work as poss atm , as I just want 2 Chuck the thing together quick as , do a track day or 2 . Then next winter do tare- downs etc ?! So would it be easier , if poss to put a K2 Ecu on with the engine ?!
To replace this disc, you need to remove the cover of the starter drive mechanism, remove the overrunning clutch, remove the camshafts, remove the timing chain, and then you will get to this disc.
Otherwise, the new engine will not start with K2 ECU.- 1

Not bad!
And what version of td04 do you have? What was the boost? -

Bit of a broad, all encompassing statement considering you are 'only' shooting for 250hp ! ! ! 'TD04', is only a family name for many variants and like most turbo's, the turbine & compressor sides can be changed and varied to produce a myriad of outputs and responses! I'm sure there are 'TD04's' that have produced in excess of 300hp - maybe not in ideal conditions but proves that one should not to be so dismissive - hell, an old T3 Garrett can be pushed to 250hp easy enough!
I am aware that there is td04-20с).
Any examples of projects with TD04 on this engine, which makes about 250HP at a boost up to 1 bar? -

I have a Chinese td05 16g, and I'd recommend a td04 instead. my td05 takes a hot minute to spool up, and isn't the best build quality. It also required me to source an outlet to be bolted onto the compressor housing in order to fit the charge pipe. The Hot side inlet is a different shape than most other turbos too, (if you're using the DSM clone like me) so future upgrades to ball bearing is limited without modifying or replacing the manifold.
Thanks for the advice, yes, I considered this particular turbine, as a friend offered me a Chinese copy of the same model but with a Subaru flange.
But at the moment I think that the Chinese gt2871 would be a more suitable option, it is better suited in terms of characteristics and has more standard flanges and layout.
I am afraid that the TD04 will have insufficient performance for this project.
I have absolutely no experience with Chinese turbines, in the past I have always used the original Holset and Garrett turbos, but the essence of this project is budget, and most of the original turbos do not fit into it on budget. In addition to the same models of Holset HX30 turbos, but it seems to me that it is also not very well suited in terms of characteristics, they are slightly excessive for this project. -
If we are talking about 1000cc, then it will fit without problems. But you will need to replace the timing chain reference disc on crank to a k2 for your ecu to work with this engine.

It was quite painful to follow the translated subtitles but the main idea came through, I think
I agree), but if I start speaking in English, it seems to me that it will not turn out much better))))

Approximately how much metal should be removed in the crankcase? About 2mm?
Your project looks great! I will also be using a fuel injection system.
I hope to complete this project in 4 months, since I have most of the details for the project in stock. -

Here in UK the Subtitles are in Russian as well, so not much help LOL!
I checked now, you can enable translation of them into any language.

Try to find out about pistons in MTС

We made the first video on our project, if anyone is interested, welcome!
I understand that for sure almost no one here knows Russian, but you can turn on subtitles in the video, I think they will convey the essence quite correctly). -
I would like to know if I need to replace the standard valve springs with stiffer ones on this engine when using a boost of about 1 bar? The engine rpms is standard 10500-11000.
-
Yes, the side tanks in any case need to be made new. It seems that the issue with the intercooler has been resolved.
It remains to choose a turbo).
By the way, the 1052 crankcase, without boring, cannot be work with the 1127 block because of the enlarged cylinder sleeves?
