    I would look at a different way of sealing it. Possibly coating a stud with sealant and threading it in, after thoroughly cleaning the affected area. As they say, it needs to be clean enough to eat off of.

    If i was to get that welded by the AL welders i know,  it would be tear down time and haul the case half off to be cleaned at a shop.

  4. Some more structural work and that will be fine. Im not a fan of the oversized holes, those inserts are going to move around when welded. Another issue, what are the odds they are not in the same location side to side.

    Ive learned a few lessons since I got my rgv, it may sound crazy but I’d prefer to buy all my bike parts and related bits from the uk. I’ll message Allen’s, thanks for the insight.
