Would anyone be able to tell me the years and differences between the different 750 heads ‘teapot’ ‘dot’ and the gsx750f head. Bear in mind that I know nothing at all in terms of the differences here so any information would be greatly appreciated.

There is nothing written on the bottom of the barrels, I’ve been trying to sell the engine and everybody that looked at it can tell that it’s an 1100 but won’t take it because of the unknown engine code

I was originally going to do so but to be honest, it’s already been done by everyone’s grandmother and her dog. I want to build a 600 that different to what everyone else has done already.

Just looking for some opinions on my big bore project. I am looking to make a combo project of two motors I have being a bandit 600 k3 and a gsx750f k4 and turn the engine into a 815cc
at first I though bore the 600 for the 73mm pistons as I cannot use the 750 barrels with them being a shorter stroke. But have been advised against it as they would need to be bore out to 83mm and sleeved
my new plan is to use a later gsxr 749 barrel and bore that as it has the correct height for the stroke and would be a lot less work as it’s only being bore out 1.5mm and would not require a re-sleeve
Katana 750 head obviously
I guess what I am asking is to anyone who has tried to do similar, would it work?
Any advice would be great let appreciated.

Hello again guys, I’m just wondering if any of the oil cooled engine gurus can help me with this one. I purchased an oil cooled gsxr engine and when it arrived, I don’t recognise the engine code. I know it’s an 1127 because of the cam chain and diaphragm clutch as well as the fact that I have stripped the head off and it is in fact a 78mm bore. So I guess my question is, does anyone recognise the engine code G0191-3861066
1100 engine into a bandit 600

My plan was to swap an 1100 engine into a bandit 6 frame but leading up to it, I noticed there were a lot of unanswered questions. This post should hopefully clear up some of the grey areas for the mad lads that are thinking about doing the same.
My parts list is as follows
Gsxr 1100 k engine
Bandit 1200 carbs jetted with pod filters
Gsxr 750 m oil cooler and lines.
bandit 600 sump, pickup/strainer
first unknown was if I’d be able to use a sump from a bandit to use the original exhaust and the answer to that one is yes. As far as I am aware, if you swap the pickup and strainer then the sup is changed fairly easily.
second was exhaust fitment. Although the 11/12 engines are taller, with little room to spare, the stock 600 manifold should fit on with no issue
third was wiring compatibilities. I ended up using the stock harness with an 1100 cdi to match the engine and well, it runs sweet as a nut
fourth, engine bolts right in with not headaches or modifications required
finally fifth. Well, it’s fast a fuck
Bit of advice first. If you have the cash to do this, upgrade or swap your brakes and suspension first. My father once told me that if you want to go fast, you need to be able to slow down. With great power comes great tomfoolery.
