Hi guys rebuild time on my 77 gs750. When installing the gear selector rods, does it matter where on the selector drum the location pins go? ( arrowwd here in the pic)
or can they locate within the drum location slots anywhere?
Advice please on checking the cam chain guide and cam chain tensioner guide on my 77 gs750.
are these prone to wear ?
what needs to be checked on them to make sure they are ok to put back ?

Has anyone built their GS cylinders crankcases etc in a satin black ?
If so did you have them stove enamelled or sprayed?
If sprayed which one did you use ? I have tried VHT barrel spray in satin but its too gloss
As the kickstart is pretty much redundant on the 750, has anyone removed the kickstart shaft and has the engine plate welded up ?
Just checking its possible to remove the kickstart shaft mechanism in its entirety from the engine without it causing issues

Hi guys a question about cam holder covers. These are matched to each cam at production, so what do you do when you replace cams? If you have to match then with the new cams , what clearances are required?

the bearing doesn't ride on it as its still on the OEM bush/spacer, its just holding the swingarm in line.
can you clarify ?
How are the bearings put to use with the 15mm pivot ?
Hi all i am finally making progress in my knowledge of what bits to swap etc to make a more up to date ride on a classic GS
so i am going with a GS750 (1977) frame ..
start question for this is , can you advise is the swing arm pivot diameter the same as the bandit swing arm ?

been scanning through old posts trying to find out more details on whats needed to get bandit wheels into a standard gs1000 frame..or which rear swing arm to go for
has anyone fitted Bandit 3 spokes to a GS1000? If so what mods were needed please? Is it a straight fr into a standard swing arm and front fork set up?
