  1. I have the same model. I have an Ohlins rear shock and the forks have upgraded springs and Racetec gold valves. Swapped out the rear wheel for a 5.5 inch one. No stability problems on modern tyres. With braided brake lines the standard brakes are adequate for street riding.

Am i right in thinking that headers from a GSXR 1000 K2~4 will fit my 1100M ? Do any other headers/collectors fit allowing a 4 into 1 and the bottom fairing / bellypan to fit ?? Thanks fellas.

Fitting the K2-K4 headers are discussed in the thread above. Not a straight fit, but possible. I'm about to give it a go myself.

Cheap rust remover from the tank,is the cheapest nastiest coke that you can buy(Happy shopper and tesco 17p value coke works really well),5 litres will do,swill around and leave to stand for 3 days. Empty out and leave in a dry, warm place(airing cupboard). Then swill out with clean fuel. Did my brothers tls tank and fuel pump holder, now they are  clean and rust free :)

Thanks for that tip. Going to give that a go now.

  4. I currently have a set of them on one of my projects, although I haven't ridden the bike with them fitted. I can't understand why they decided not to put a heel guard on the left hand side.

  5. The 1100K swingarm was also shorter than the L, M and N, but still longer than the 750.
