Hi folks Newbie saying hi and a quick intro
My name's Jon and have been a lover of many things "Suzuki" .
I'm in a long term relationship with an 86 750 slabby I'm currently working on right now. She's been with me since 2004 and only ridden for 3 years in my ownership. Long term storage since then as "Life and stuff" seem to have gotten in the way. (kids, wife, house etc.)
Fast forward to 2018 and it was time to get started with the oil boiler.
Rolling chassis completed last year with new bearings etc right through. Just needs tyres and wheels sorting.
Currently engine stripped right back to nothing waiting for some enthusiasm to kick in to measure oil clearances and get stuff ordered.
I can't say enough how awesome this site is for inspiration and ideas. Love it
Of course pics will follow

Welcome Jonny!
They're a good bunch on here, and you'll learn a ton of useful stuff to help you keep that slabby running for many years to come!

The cheap Eblag filters cause nowt but grief on carbs, much better to buy some decent Pipercross ones as it will run miles better. Go up one size on the pilots (usually in 2.5 increments so if you have 15s go up to 17.5) and try a main jet of around 125/130s as a starting point. With the bigger pilot jet your low speed running should improve massively, put the mixture screws at 1 1/2 turns from seated and work from there! Hope that helps!
Just had a look in the manual, pilots are 32.5 so go up to 35s, float height is 14.6mm + or - 1mm.

Yet to catch up on this fully but - how on earth did you manage to get yourself involved in the first place?!
It was something i fancied doing last year, entries had to be in super early (march 23rd at midnight!) to ensure a place but it was well worth it!

Dirtquake 2017, team eyup yorkiemura came, saw, entered and didn't fall down! I entered on a mate of mine's ratted 750 teapot, stuck some cheapo wets on it and despite never having ridden on a dirt oval i didn't come last despite it's bulk! Any one from here attend? If so, pics or vids would be mucho appreciated! Highlights from the event will be shown on July 12th at 8pm on ITV4, so you can see what it's all about! I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again next year!
MFP did me proud, no dramas, and a fifth place to boot!
