He is! I managed to get an order in.. happy days!

How are those builds going? I got the forks into mine, and have all the various spacers and stuff made up to get the swinging arm in. Engine is back from engine builder, bodywork ordered...

Sealed ones in that size dont exist. You pack them with bearing grease, fit a good outer seal on the disc side and maybe think to have to replace them more often
Ah excellent.
Did you have any luck with those spacer sizes?

Find bearings that work for both wheel and spindle
Yeah, looking in to that... hard task! Not yet finding any sealed bearings, only crankshaft bearings in the correct size... gonna be a specialist thing. These conversations always get expensive. lol

How did you get around the spindle size difference? (Sorry for all the questions, just getting to that stage of the build!)

I think the K7 is a 25mm spindle. But captive top hat spacers will sort that out. 750 runs a 180 tyre, so should be a 5.5 rim.
Interesting, how'd you see a spacer working? Wouldn't I also need revised bearings?

Hello all.
After most of my research seems to come from this site anyway I thought I may as well join up! With most of my race season cancelled i thought I would build something ready for next season. whilst the ZXR750 is the more popular and competitive choice, i have always loved my old school suzukis and have a particular soft spot for the Yoshimura F1 bikes of the early nineties so im planning on building a bit of a replica with a view to race it at Olivers Mount and the Classic TT
I have started with a 1992 W frame and have a swingarm + linkage on the way as well as a K5 rear shock. The plan is to put a K2 750 front end on so i have a bottom yoke on the way. My research leads me to believe that the k2 bottom taper bearing will fit straight in and that I should just need a 32906 top bearing. Can anyone confirm or advise? I have also opted to use a triumph 675 rear wheel so if anyone who has done the swap could point me in the right direction that would be super.
Pics on the way
Cheers
Andy
Hey Andy,
where did you get to on the bodywork? So far I've only managed to find Airtech (USA, very expensive to ship from) and Ragged Edge (not taking bookings) who can provide it. You had any luck with other providers?

OK, checked part umbers from Suzuki for the 600 and the 750, they're the same! Good news.
if you'd be able to check those rear wheel spacer sizes, I'd be very grateful! Cheers mate, thanks for your help.

You obviously need to match the rear otherwise it will look like shit
I did it on my 93, which will be the same
You need 4 spacers for the wheel made but it all lines up well without an offset sprocket
And use a 600 K7 because it is 5.5 inch same as OE
Thanks Joesph... is the K7 750 wheel also 5.5, or just the K7 600 wheel? (Someone local is selling one and has it listed as 600/750).
Also, you mention 4 spacers - you wouldn't happen to have sizes for those would you?

a 1995 what?
Oops sorry, GSXR750

Does anyone know if a K7 rear wheel will fit a 1995? I'm putting a K7 front end on (which is all sorted), but might prefer to match the rear. I'm fine if it's a question of spacers, I just don't want to get into machining the hub.
Also: spindle width? Does anyone know it on either model?

Lovely, I am also building a replica of the same Suzuka bike! Gorgeous isn’t it?

Hmmm which are nearest length and nearest stem length to WN/WP? Any idea?

In the info section there are some tables about swapping front ends, I was tidying the garage the other day and realised what a hoarder I am.
I ned to get rid of some of them,
Any of these can be made to fit..
Crikey!!! What are this lot off? I was thinking maybe K6 might be an option... I'd prefer to go with Suzuki if possible.

Ah that’s part of the situation: I don’t have the original yokes and therefore no stem either. So I was kind of hoping that an entire front end transplant may be possible. Otherwise I’ve gotta buy an entire front end and a set of standard yokes.
Incidentlaly: if I DID do that, how would I know if the original stem could be pressed into a later yoke? Wouldn’t I need to know the stem diameter in order to do that?

Hi all, I'm new on the forum and have several bikes (all different makes) as well as an old RGV250 so I fit the Suzuki mould.
I've recently bought a 1993 GSXR 750 WP/WN, and it's basically just a frame, engine, tank and loom. I'm gonna need an entire front end. I want something modern, USD. So my question is: Which entire front ends are plug and play?
I have read everything on every flipping forum, and I can find fork diameters, offsets, and the like but NOTHING on stem length. Using a bearing kit I can adapt whichever, but which front ends will fit with NO stem modification? Any ideas?
Once that's digested, i'l be asking for the simplest rear end conversions also...
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated as I've now spent a week reading everything I can but with no answers.
Cheers,
Ben
