  1. Yeah the cams are rusty been sitting in a shed for years with no cam cover also engine doesn't turn over.Probably easier to just fit another engine just not sure which is the easiest to fit.
  2. Anyone got any ideas what to do with this ? Can't make my mind up. 1977 GS 750 d I only have what you see in the pics frame, wheels, engine, carbs motard exhaust got it all for £120 can't decide whether to restore and rebuild what I have or fit another engine and carbs front end and different swingarm. Im hoping to do all the work myself other than the frame, powder coating. And hope to have it done by next September. Any input ideas appreciated.
  3. Hi folks got the chance of a really cheap gsxr 600 srad engine anyone got any ideas of any problems getting it to fit the GS frame. The carb angle looks like the most obvious problem going by pics. And fitting radiator At £50 for the motor I'm going to give it a go and offer it up to the frame and see what's what. But any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Cheers
  4. I have not yet unlocked access to the marketplace. I shall not try and sell my stuff in other boards. Sorry guys.
  5. Just wondering were to start my project and if there any front ends fit straight onto a 77 gs 750 frame. Was thinking of just restoring what I have but if there is a front end that will fit with minor work might consider it. At the minute I have a frame/swingarm that's going off to be powder coated next week then I'm just building something from there not sure what yet standard or modified. But the front shocks are corroded and pitted so thinking of replacing with something else more modern but would like to keep original wheels as like the old skool look of them. Any info appreciated
  6. How did the b6 engine fit did you need to fabricate new engine mount brackets ?
  7. Nice bike. That's the sort of thing I'm looking to build what front end and swingarm is fitted to it?
  8. Was thinking of just fitting a bandit 600 engine, wiring loom, clocks and keeping the rest oldskool and original found a engine fitting kit online https://rover.Eblag.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.Eblag.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302938853342 Anyone used this kit to fit an oil cooled motor in a gs 750 frame? I'm not after massive power just a reliable useable oldskool bike. I've got the original 77 gs 750 motor but it's going to need a fair bit of work rekon it would be easier and cheaper fitting a 600 bandit engine.
  9. Will the oil cooled motors fit straight in ? Did think of a gsxr 750 oil cooled motor
  10. Great thanks for that hopefully make a start soon.
  11. Hi folks not been on here for years as not an old Suzuki but just bought a total project missing loads of parts it's a gs 750 d model just wondering what year the d model is ? Not sure on plans yet I've got a full 750 motor will need top end work at least good frame full exhaust everything else needs work rekon I,ll do a full resto maybe use another motor if anything fits straight in ? Will post pics of progress but just picked it up tonight and put it in the garage have a look over it tomorrow.
