Yes, the side tanks in any case need to be made new. It seems that the issue with the intercooler has been resolved.
It remains to choose a turbo).
By the way, the 1052 crankcase, without boring, cannot be work with the 1127 block because of the enlarged cylinder sleeves?Evening I have a 1052 engine with bored out cases to accept 1127 barrels

Have gone 5 mm for front and back plates with 3mm sandwich

T04E try one of these for draw through.

What do people think of the T25 T28 Turbos for power 1216 Busa pistons etc
-
I have been asking the same questions, what turbo to use. I have seen a few garretts thats are carbon sealed already. There is a company in the states that sells turbos with both barbon and standard seals just waiting to hear back from them..
-
Gone all blow through now, just manifold to finish.

What is the general consensus on injector size , 1216 , 600 thb's looking 230 bhp ish. Difference in size per project is varied.

Been on to wiseco , they are 12-1 CR.
-
Standard rods , Damn it
-
Block/ Barrels and pistons are off now..
-
I just need to know the CR off them I suppose. Then I'll stick them up for sale anyone recognise the code ?
-
No I pre bought Busa pistons before the strip down as I thought it was a standard 1127, so once these are identified I'll stick them up for sale.
-
Took the head of my engine today to find it had been rebored to 1216 . I was told it was a standard 1127. Dont worry about the blackness on the pistons, carbs needed a good set up ,clean and jetting properly. They cleaned up rather good with a wipe of petrol.
My Question is does anyone know what the pistons are ? They have B00H4 markings on them.
Anyone know ?

As Busa barrels are nikasil coated aluminium the ring clearances are liable to be tighter as barrels will expand at similar rate to pistons. Clearances in a Steel barrel should be as for the GSXR - piston to cylinder clearance - 0.05 - 0.06mm, Ring end gap (installed) - Top ring 0.2 - 0.35mm, 2nd ring 0.35 - 0.50mm
Thanks Gicer 1460, I have seen it on here before but could not find anything on it.
Cheers

Yeah the whole bike is showing signs of being tampered/ improved, ohlins, 1127 engine , lockwired sump etc. It's being stripped to go to 1216 anyway see what that uncovers

Very budget build. The other side of being budget is time it takes to wait for parts to come available or be self manufactured,2 years and still going.
