  1. In this box is a kit to convert an 1100  from a 5 to a 6 speed with every thing needed (So I was told),Gears,Cable Clutch,Covers,Spacer's etc,

I bought off a (very nice)guy on Eblag about 5 years ago and its sat with its contents shrunk wrapped inside since, never got around to fitting it and never will now,

What I found recently in this forum's archive was a thread on everything that was needed to know regarding this type of conversion,

The author suggested more than one way of doing the swap and I would be interested to know what I have here,

If I unwrap and layout the contents and upload some pics is there any one on here who could tell me what I have ?

    Thanks

  2. Got them ... was hoping  that was the case thanks

BTW ,20 years ago it came with a (still) new after market 4 into 1 with oval Carbon Can but I've misplaced  5 of the collets needed to fit,is there any thing else I can use or are they Suzuki parts ??

Unless they're 91/92 model bodies, they're not gonna be much use. 40's were only used on these years ;)

I should have been clearer ... That "hoard" of mine has other GSXR carb/parts+ a friend of mine who emigrated to Austrailia in 2010 gave me all his "hoard" aswell, I have a 91 1100M here but it has 39 FCR's so I can't compare

  4. So I've got this 87 GSXR1100 thats sat in my garden shed for 20 years,it came to me in boxes as a job to "Streetfighter" after fitting an SB6 rear wheel and a GSXR400 USD front end, risers and renthal bars he wanted fitted the build came to a stop as the front end was way to short ...

It was never finished and I ended with it,

It is a "Grey Import" that  was imported  from Japan in 96,I know I'm missing a few parts the main ones being carbs and clocks,I have the bike on the bench in my workshop now with the correct front end and back wheel, knocked up a set of CV carbs and with 2 rachet straps a hairdryer and WD40 did the unthinkable and got the rock hard inlet rubbers to surrender !!!

The 87 is one of 6 bikes that I need to sell and not one of them is a runner and  as we all know  no one wants to buy a non runner ?

The problem I have is the wiring loom is no good, its brittle, oxidezed and butchered when a previous owner fitted a DYNA 2000 with crimp fittings,

I've taken off the DYNA 2000 and after going through my "hoard" of parts I've located the original CDI + half a dozen other Suzuki CDI's,I have a good loom/CDI/CDI pickup for a 91 1100M can I fit this and get the 87 to run (not ride)so I'm able to show its future owner it runs,I know I should just get the correct loom but I'd rather just get rid of it as is,

  5. I might be able to help you out with a carb to replace your one  ....

I have a 25 years + "hoard" of oil cooled parts and have spent the last week going through them as I needed a set of carbs for a 1987 slabside GSXR1100 that has spent the last 20 years in the garden shed,I went through all the carbs I have and found a partial set with the right spacing for the 87 1100 and after robbing other partial sets I've made a working set,i will look to see if I have a 40 mm carb spare that you can have if you still need one.
