Turns out it's a 1995 gsxr750ws wheel
-
-
Well it's fitted to fatblokeonbandit latest project his gsx750f , he was told by a forum member that it came from a gsxr slingy of one yr or another but iv'e checked all of em and i just can't identify it, It's very similar to early kwak zxr's but isn't one of those either.
-
Can anyone tell me what bike this is off please ? Iv'e goggled the shit out of it and i cant find one the same I
-
Whipped the plugs out and it still turns over slow, !!!
-
thats the thing to try , engine runs well and did couple of track days no problem lifts the wheel in 2nd gear if your a bit heavy handed without clutching it up ! so wouldnt be surprised to find its played with a bit .
-
have already tried that and checked all 3 starter motors iv'e got and there all good , it seems like its running too much compression ?
-
have taken cover off and checked where starter motor goes all teeth intact and as good as new
-
brand new battery, even does it when rigged to jumppack or being jumped from car, have by checked earth and replaced it .
-
gotta slabby 1100 engine that turns over like battery is flat, always starts but it aint right , have changed battery and tried several starter motors and no joy , any ideas please ?
-
I love 2 strokes had an rgv once 74bhp on dyno with print out , was running full f3 spec kit , bought off a guy who had imported a load of bikes from japan and didnt want it so i got it cheap,
-
I may have done something similar left bike for a few days, struck it up and it poured bout gallon of petrol out top breather it was running for about 30 secs like this whilst by brain was trying to work out what it was seeing changed the oil thrashed the tits of it, its all good
-
All iv'e got is imagination and a selection of hammers , Im off work for a few days over xmas so im gonna look at all ideas inc maybe using the gsx750f font wheel and swapping out the bearings to suit zx spindle , but then im sure im gonna have disc issues as zx are 300mm and t'pot's 290 + dont know what will happen to caliper spacing either . But thats a very kind offer and i may well take you up on it gsx wheel inbetween zx forks in gsx yokes and gsx forks in zx yokes
-
Yup the zx forks are 41mm but upon fitting them ,then trying to fit wheel disc's are actually hitting fork legs as the T'pot yokes are much narrower , hence needing to fit zx yokes, The bottom of the T'pot stem is a good 10mm wider so dont know how to make that fit ? I was intending to use the zx wheel to make life easier
-
Im gonna replace the yokes on my gsx600f with some from a 1996 zx6r , problems are stem is too short, lower bearings have different id and od and bottoms of stems are totally different so switching stems is not possible , what my limited brain power has come up with is a cut and shut on stem to lengthen it and is it possible to get custom made bearings ? Am i heading in the right direction ?
