  1. Cheers. Yeah, hopefully the 36 will give me a hell of a lot more clearance. Yeah, I preferred the look of the shorter tail on it. Just need to finish modifying the seat base to suit now.
  2. Might give these a try. Just a matter of finding some rubbers then. http://www.Eblag.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-GSXR-36mm-Carbs-Mikuni-Carbs-36mm-GSXR-750-1100-36mm-Carbs-Carbs-GSXR-/111870920085?hash=item1a0c06c595%3Ag%3As0kAAOSwYIhWknkq
  3. Cool. Lower is good. Shall give all that a try and sell my 38's. Shall let you all know how it goes once I got it sorted. Ta.
  4. B12 carbs are 36mm right? Could I use them? Just remove the TPS gubbins?
  5. Thanks for that. Just about clears the cam cover with the carbs off. Its close, but only needs a little spacing. So I'll be on the lookout for some smaller carbs then. Mine are decent condition, so should be able to sell them to fund another set. Cheers. Hopefully that will cure the issue and I can get on with building it.
  6. Thanks guys. Shall go take them off now and see how it looks.
  7. Good thinking. I shall whip them off and see. Looks like it may be close. Flatsides a lot of money?
  8. Anyone had any issues with making the GSXR750 engines fit? Seen loads around the internet. I seem to be having issues with mine. Tank won't clear the carbs. By about 2.5" I used the stock rear bottom tabs on the frame, as seems to be the common swap. Cant really lower the engine much more than it is. Chain run on the angles is pretty much perfect. Just not sure the best way to go about this really. Wondered if anyone else had any issues? I'm thinking the easiest option is to raise the rear of the tank, and modify the side panel to suit and line up a bit better. Thoughts?
  9. Cheers guys. Hopefully new sprocket carrier will be here at the weekend so i can crack on. Cheers for the other options you've listed too.
  10. Cheers guys. Just ordered an ET one.
  11. What sprocket carriers have less of an offset than the 1200 Bandit one? Have a 1200 rear in the GSX I am building. Ton of clearance between the chain and the tyre, but not enough to clear the frame, so I can afford to go in a hell of a lot. Heard that the Bandit ones have the biggest offsets on them, so wondering if anyone has a better option for me to try? Had a 500e one in the shed, but it does't fit the bandit drive.
  12. Building a GSX750ES. Found out the hole spacing is the same as my GSXR slingshot one.
  13. Yeah, in the end I ground it all off. Weld on some nice thick mounts.
  14. Sorrry to be rude, but don't suppose I could get a copy of them drawings? Putting a 750M engine into my ES
  15. Morning folks. Anyone running a Bandit arm in an EFE? Looking to put one in my 750ES, which is a similar looking frame, being square tubed. Most people say just use the centre stand mounts for the bottom mounts. But seems to be way wider than the Bandit knuckle for the linkage. Just wondered if anyone had any pics. Or is it easier to just grind off the centre stand mounts, and get some proper mounts welded up?Cheers.
