Can someone please tell me the dimensions for the top fairing mounting bosses on the headstock on a katana 750/1000/1100 frame? ie how far down to boss centres from top of headstock, diameter of boss, thread size and overall length from face to face of these bosses?

I've found one on the bay of evil that someone has kindly measured so i thought I would post it on here if anyone needs the Dims? They are:
The measurements are , Front of Swinging Arm Width outer is 220mm ...Front of S/Arm Centre Spindle Hole to Linkage Hole is 155mm ...Width of Linkage is 95mm ....Front S/Arm rear outer casing to highest point of linkage arm 112mm ....and from inside Front S/Arm casing to Linkage body is 120mm ..Inside width of Rear S/Arm is 254mm ...Overall Length is 645mm and at Widest point is 330mm , All Sizes Approx. ,

Having ridden a lot of air cooled 70's /80's Jap bikes over the years, I think a brown seat is probably quite appropriate!

Yeah, you only have to look at the DVLA hunting down hot rods and taking their original historic V5's off them after an inspection to see what might be up the road for us!

I would have thought that if you were to do that, you must put the Slingshot engine number on your V5. The only other thing is Insurance? Will you insure it as a stock ET or modified? Can't they be a bit funny about insuring modified stuff that isn't on a Q or bin MSVA'd? If you insure it as a standard bike but have an accident you may be on a sticky wicket.
