As it should be - any vacuum present should be sufficient to open the valve - which means any time pre boost.

Yes, now that I'm sober I'm thunking betterer.

If one works two will be better.

I have a 2" inlet and the bov is only 7/8", so it'll be a restriction.

  2. If you don't run a bov, wouldn't it be similar to an anti lag once you are up and moving?

I did it for shits and giggles one day and the bike pulled harder than a 14yr old when smashing through the gears.. it wasn't really happy about it  though and I didn't want to break it.

I recently took off the link pipe and fire it up. Blocked the pipe and it kept running just fine.

Blocked the bov dump pipe and it stalled..

So mine it already potentially "breathing" through the bov at idle.

I do remember from the old site people fitting bov's as a priority value on their plenums, I might add a second bov but only for the breathing action..

What could go wrong I hear you ask haha

If I do a breather, I'll do before and after Dyno runs to compare..

I get what the OP wants, it was the errant reference to the GSX engine I found weird! Just because it has a cable clutch operation doesn't mean 'its' extended rack would fit or work. If it was me, i'd use (and I did x2) a hydraulic clutch (for which lock-ups are available) - its not as if you have to be subtle when a turbo is involved!

Making a one off, hardened and ground extended rack for a hybrid 750/1100/cable/lock-up will likely cost what the whole clutch is costing - just sayin'

You are joking right? I'm sorry I'm not up to speed with all the dragbike history to date.

I have a full machine shop at my disposal and it is a quite simple part to make.

I just wanted to save myself some time and see if anyone had done.

    Thanks anyway mate.

  4. Well hallo,

I have fitted an 1100 coil spring clutch to my 750 and have a cable clutch.

Everything is going good but I'd like a lockup on it.

Has anyone done a lockup with a cable from a 750 actuated on the clutch cover?

I know I'll need a MTC spacer but it's the longer rack pin I'm not sure about..

Is there a longer one out of a different model or do I have to make one?

    Thanks.

  5. Late to the party but so be it.

I'm sure I read on here about the combination of the short stroke 748 mixed with the long stroke 749 created a 883cc

Ka#$&aki pistons may have been used ( I've been mia for a while, can we say other brand names?)

I have the long stroke turboed on 10psi with -5° ignition timing by turning the plate too.

Did you really advance your timing? There be some heat in there because of that.

Any updates on the engine parts?

I just picked up a 748 with the grand plan of putting it in the shed for years, forgetting about it, buying something else, then find it again and doing the 883 build

  6. Hi guys,

I need the dimensions of the spacer number 12 in the pics please.

I had one, now after a shed clean up I don't. Either I threw it out or my helper did..

It's taken 2 months to get a Carby rebuild kit so don't really want to wait that long by ordering one online when I can just turn one up.

It fits the TLs, gsxr from 96-2002

    Thank you.

  7. Perfect DND, thanks i'll look into the EFE one... or just make one then i can still go back to my current set up if needed.

I do need a spacer that thick.

I already have a 19mm spacer fitted just to get the 1100 clutch in as it is thicker than the 750 one so the cover is already out from the case.

By adding a lock up i'll need another spacer, so there will be 2 spacers, or 1 spacer that's 57mm thick.

You can see the spacer here, you can also see my scav pump Colin :)

Wow - someone definitely has toooooo much time on their hands LOL!

Its my job, I get paid to draw pretty pictures then make them :)

I downloaded the engine/frame and tank but the rest is mine thought.

  9. That sounds like it'll work DND .. I already have a spacer .. Fitting the 1100 clutch into the 750 required a cover spacer that I machined down to use the standard pull shaft. So by adding another spacer or making a new one at 57mm all I'm doing is adding a standard thickness MTC cover spacer. So the long pull shaft you have should work, can you tell me a model it come off or a part number please?
