  1. Tried adding a newish pic above, but technology fails me. :-/ Bike is still going ok. Engine is the same still. Still smoke on over run. Clutch is a bit grabby now too. Swapped the RS38’s for the smaller 36’s. Much better. Much more responsive. the rest is still ok.
  2. Evening all. Sorry, I don’t get on here much now. Must make the effort. So, yes. The seat is i deed a King Carbon one. Lee’s workshop is only down the road from me. He has all the Harris jigs, but i didn’t tell you that. :-) Merry Christmas all.

  4. Yes. I was marshalling there mate. And yes, i took the F1 to the classic TT and the Mag 4 to the TT.
  5. Do you know, ive heard of 4 now that have snapped. I plan on re engineering the side stand mounting point. Maybe make a bracket that picks up on 3 or 4 positions. Do you have any details at all? Thanks.

Oh yes, this is lovely. Will look forward to seeing the updates bud. Lovely bike indeed.
  7. Havent updayed for ages now. So, ive covered iver 2000 miles since it’s MoT early April. I took it to the TT. Had an issue with the oil cooler but apart from that it went ok. Engine turns out to be good except smoking on overrun. So that will need sorting out at some stage. Major issue last Sunday. The bottom engine mount where the side stand assembly attaches to snapped.
  8. Some crackin pics from Duxford yesterday.
  9. Thanks bud. You should have come and said hello. I still have a couple of little jobs to do. I wish i had more room at home to keep them mate. Lol. Trying to get the Mrs round to the idea of putting them in the conservatory, but i cant see it.
  10. Insured it today. Had my first ride round the block and it seems ok. MoT on Saturday. Almost finished but not quite.
  11. Im running RS36’s with stacks. Ive just fitted some ramair foam filters. It runs good but dont know what it will be like in the rain.
  12. Mee too mate. I will be there still with the F1 but not enough space for the two bikes.
  13. Down to the last few jobs now. Wiring is done and everything works as it should. Bike has been started and engine sounds good. Just needs valve clearances sorting.
  14. Thank you all for the kind words. :-) cant wait to get it off the bench and out in the sun.
  15. It was going to be taken to the Manchester show next week but plans changed.
  16. Few things. Decided to fit the brand new RS38’s. These ones were borrowed from my Spondon build. This motor is an unknown item. At least if i put new carbs on i can say they will be fine. Wiring loom is nearly there now. Just need to fit the connectors in the headlight, coils and under the seat for light and blinkers. Clutch slave cylinder came off my blue Bandit. After bleeding it, the piston came out too far. It fouled the chain The push rod was too short so i bought a bit of 6mm silver steel and made a new rod. I bled the clutch and after getting it working lovely, i noticed the fluid level had gone down. The slave cylinder is corroded. No drama. I have 3 spare ones Tank is back now. Shitty paint has been sorted. See if i can get the loom finished by the weekend.
  17. Well, the loom fits. It’s not too long. Only mininal waste. Hope to get it finished by the weekend.
  18. Yep. I learnt this lesson a while back. Had one of those streetfighter bling rear reservoirs. It kept locking the rear brake up. The little caps i made have a tiny hole in.
  19. Just had a good look through the build mate. Stunning. Cant wait to see it.
  20. Finish the loom, fit the number plate bracket, make and fit the carbon undertray, fit the bodywork and it’s about done. Another couple of weeks hopefully.
  21. I’ve fitted tygon hose for my reservoir tubes. The original front masters from Aprilia had 90 degree fittings. So made a couple of straight ones.
  22. Wiring loom started. Front end back from powder and polish. Brakes and lines fitted and bled. Engine oil in.
