  1. Mine did  the same in heavy traffic.

They don't like getting hot, here in Oz that's hard to avoid.

I would also look at your jetting.

My worn out emulsion tubes and needles were causing a rich condition.

A rich condition can also contribute to overheating issues.

  2. Won't be the lock barrel, be the locking mechanism below where the 2 fingers move in and out to engage the tank neck.

Id spray WD down the lock barrel hoping for it to seep into the mechanism below.

once off spray the moving parts on the underside of the cap.

  3. What carbs are you running?

If same then it should be pretty close if using factory pro 125- 127 mains Mikuni

Dynojet have their own jets, do a search  Dynojet to Mikuni jet comparison if your going Dynojet.

someone else here might have your exact setup.

  4. That looks nice.

Dont ditch the airbox, Im running the same carbs  as yours 36mm on my 85 blue and white and it's been a nightmare to get it to run right it's now running a factory pro jet kit.

You should also replace the emulsion tubes as they get ovalised from the needles.

I've got a set of brake lines for sale if your interested?

    Clear braided made in Uk.

  6. Hi

I would be looking at using different needles with all those mods.

Get yourself a factory pro config 3.0 kit .

Give Marc at Factory Pro an email if the kit is NLA he can still make one up for you.

Did do for me on the 750.

  7. Hi all

My Clutch is starting to sound quite noisey when not engaged.

So looking at doing a rebuild I've done loads of Clutch's on 2 strokes very simple but never a four stroke.

Any pointers what I should be looking for  that might be creating the noise.

    cheers

  8. I always look at the plugs and make adjustments according to them.

The needles in Cv carbs wear prematurely around 5000 Klms as they flutter within the emulsion tubes so the sides get worn the emulsion tubes get ovalised as well.

All this creates a rich mixture.

If these have never been replaced then I would do it and while the carbs are out replace all the O - rings obtainable from most decent bearing shops.

Or if your happy with the plug colour then leave it as others have said.
