Had a right chew on fitting the oil lines to the head kept clashing with frame tried umpteen fittings ( luckily enough a good mate is a good rich dealer) ended up with done head bolts and had to put a small indent in frame
-
Yep your right its all the Fkin about that people who buy pre built specials never seee ended up with a Nitron shock with remote damping, rebound and spring adjustment tasty bit of kit
-
so I had a head fart and have been out on the other bike doing a bit of riding hopefully numpty is back from holiday next week

Not a lot done this month got a shocker sorted wheels lined up and that’s about it if you’ve never done it before it’s a PITA especially when your not sure where to start on a “normal “ build where your just changing wheels it’s not too bad. You know the rest is right so your only spacing wheels on this I was spacing wheels, swinging arm but also trying to get chain straight but using a combination of straight edges squares and string lines I got there but then I forgot I gave my lathe to my mate as I wasn’t using it. hes on holiday for a month my other mate with a lathe moving to fuckin France and number 3 with a lathe is missing in action so I’m stuck for time being

I’ll try and get a few late nights in this week to align wheels sprockets and make some spacers then attack the calliper hanger
-
One step forward 2 back rear wheel mounted to get shock length but rear brake caliper hanger no good. Ha ha. The joys of motorcycling

Sanders and Lewis were a London based company who made stuff for Kettles

He lived next to me clever f@ker tried to give me a lesson in frame geometry but he was too clever for me spent a bit of time with him used to go up Saturday after the Hill or call on an evening quietly spoken genius he was a bit of a bible basher when we first met but never pushed it( maybe he could see I was a lost cause) well into it later on he made quite a few frames ( more than 3 ) here’s the man himself in a Lewis leathers advert And another of his projects weirdly says designed by Jacob Saunders
-
Not much to see this week as I’ve been busy with other things fully bolted the engine properly removed the swinging arm to measure for spacers for rear shock oh the front brakes turned up and fitted as well as mudgaurd Rear sprocket arrived that’s about it oh mounted the coils might get a bit done tomorrow on the oil cooler lines

ill post this in here and the main forum as i think its only fair Mark Walker/Martek have had a bit stick of late for non delivery etc well i had discussions with him re a frame or a Kat frame some time ago, when i bought this i rang him for some advice and he was very forthcoming. i needed a few bits that were missing we did a deal on a price and i got a good feeling about him we did have a heated discussion on delivery etc Me stating what i heard, him putting his side forward. Anyway i give him a deposit and agreed a delivery date. Everything arrived on time as promised cant fault the bloke speak as i find I'm going to order a Tank next

Yep you get the side trays and tie down points which go on side anchor bolts etc too

Yep it’s good to see a change Not used them a lot as just in this week but they are solidly built they. Are a copy of pro bike no doubt In the garage where the ramps are used daily with heavy kit on we bought 2 2 year ago year and not a pick of bother we have 6 US Bendpacks too ( the best you can get ) the Automech are just a copy of those too. we only bought them as we couldn’t get Bendpack because of Covid
