Slingshot / Bandit 1200 Alternator change

Thanks for adding me to the site guys and Gals I recently fitted a Bandit 1200 MK2 engine to my GSXR1100 Project I fitted the standard 1127 Alternator and it has chewed the ring gear up at the back of the clutch basket, obviously the drive gear is different for this engine ( Derr!!!!   ) looking at the correct alternator for the MK2 engine looks like the connections are  different  ( looks like a connector post) from what I can see rather than the two wires with a connector on the slingshot alternator. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to wire the MK2 alternator into the Slingshot wiring system ? Cheers Dave

No need, just change the drive gear on the alternator to correspond with the gear on the clutch basket,  b12 has 26 teeth gsxr 1100 K/L 28 teeth
