almostthere Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 tell me if this is nonsense but the fuel tap on my WN needs replacing I've been thinking about a pingel tap but I dont trust myself to turn it off every time and I don't want a sump full of fuel could I fit a solenoid in line like this one? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=12+volt+fuel+line+solenoid&client=firefox-b-ab&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwivw5KA_ZnQAhVqCMAKHU1uBMgQ_AUICSgC&biw=939&bih=487#imgrc=XWGIN4kzKDB1VM%3A Quote
Danm54 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I think fuel flow may be an issue, I'd imagine these are are designed to be used with a pump so may suffer with just gravity pressure. My 1100W wont sit at motorway (ish) speeds when the tank is running low, need to switch to reserve early. Thats with the standard twin outlet tap. Restrict that down to a single solenoid and you may have issues. Quote
monksey Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 was looking at a pingel also bu they are very expensive and i didnt realise they were constant flow so glad i read this Quote
