Brookie Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Just got my hands on an old gs550e that’s been sat for years brake master cylinders are seized solid and suspect calipers will be toast as well is there any more modern calipers that fit without to much modification as I’m not to worried about originality at the moment just want to get it road legal again cheers Quote
PaintItBlack Posted August 30 Posted August 30 If you’re looking for a decent brake upgrade I think this could work on the 550, https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/forum/technical-forums/performance-tuning-mods/33111-twinpot-brake-upgrade-on-78-skunk the guy was making kits, I copied his ideas and made my own brackets etc to fit my gs1000, using fireblade floating discs and zx10 calipers and master cylinder 1 Quote
Dennisgs1085 Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I did this to my gs1000 and a gs850 I owned. Fireblade discs kawasaki calipers and bandit 12 master cylinder. Brackets are steel plate easy to do. More stopping power you will ever need !. 2 Quote
