Mudguard quandary

Hi all

So I've found some time to start having a play with this front mudguard of my gs1000, it's has a 1250 bandit front end and a monstrous front mudguard

The angles all wrong and doesn't follow the curvature of the wheel, I've had a little play and reckon it's gonna take a lot of cutting and filling to get it anywhere near where it needs to be. I have toyed with the idea of fitting backwards and shortening the rear (what would be the front) but I wondered if anyone here may have a better idea.

Ideally I'd like something pretty similar to standard lines if I can . thanks

Agreed, that'll never look right if the rest of the bike is mostly GS1000.

Kinda depends on what your cuppatea is when it comes to this. There are rwu mudguards that look pretty cool. ZX9R and Thunderspace spring to mind?
