GS1000 1978 fuel sender leaking

Anyone had issues with the gasket leaking from the sender ? Mine has just started leaking but not all the time ? which is baffling some days nothing and then a small amount .  recently  topped tank full with super unleaded and millers storage additive added. . Issue seems to have started after this. I will order a new gasket. It was just the issue of the random leak i thought someone might have explanation for.

I have I have been told random leak at iffy gasket probably caused by temperature/ tank expansion.
