We are pleased to announce our latest addition to the OSS race team. Please give a warm welcome to@canamant Ant tells me that Since 2005 he has run 2 slabby 750s affectionately called Slabby Racer 1 and Slabby Racer 2 in the Aintree FE Championship and at one off races around Anglesey and Oulton Park. Some seasons the spare bike has been ridden by a friend of his (not on this forum). Both bikes have also been raced at the Manx Grand Prixby him (2012) and Classic TT (2013 and 2016). One of his bikes was also loaned to John Oliver ( yoshijohnny) and Nigel Rea in 2011 when their build couldn't be completed in time. Plans for this year are Aintree all year and PreTT with CTT if the organisers play ball. Ant tells me he is currently trying to get SuperSlabby1 built (1100) and Superslingy1 (1100) . Welcome to the Winged Hammers @canamantPlease keep us updated on your race year. Race team sticker kits will be dispatched shortly. Please use the race board for your future threads and feel free to upload some pictures. We like pictures.

We're pleased to welcome Barry @cullinocto the OSS race team. Over the coming months Barry will be building a GSXR 1100 race bike to be ridden by veteran track and road racer Martin Harrison. The bike will compete at the 2018 Manx as well as 2 races in South Africa in 2019. This will be Martin's 3rd year racing a GSXR 1100 . Work has begun by Barry on a ground up build of the 2018 bike. Welcome to the winged hammers lads. May our mighty hammer give you a God's speed. Barry, start your build thread in this section and share your journey.

It is with a very heavy heart that I must share the sad news that Pete Boyles @Pete750ETpassed away last night. Those of you who have been involved with the site for a while will remember Pete's earlystock racing career alongside Runt racing from the early days of the site and the OSS motto: Go runt go! and Go Pete go! We all followed the antics of Pete's racing career and that of Runt racing with great pride and great enthusiasm. Anyone who knew Pete will know what a genuinely lovely guy he was. Pete was my inspiration for starting the winged hammers team and I will always regard him as the original winged hammer. Rest in peace my friend.

As you all know we have been planning to launch an OSS race team identity with a special logo and a dedicated board on the forum. Well here it is. Before we create any Winged Hammers,we would like to outline the way it will work, initially. If you are racing an OSS bike in an organised competitive event or race series then we would like you to fly the OSS race team flag by displaying the winged hammer race logo on your bike. In basic terms an organised competitive event means: A race series. A competitive straight-line, hill climb or sprint event or series. Unfortunately track days and run what you brung type events wont count. We have created a special "winged hammer" user group for race team members. What this means is that if you are a winged hammer, you will be able to use this board to keep us all updated. We are creating a winged hammer sticker kit consisting of : 2 winged hammer stickers We will supply these kits to the winged hammers free of charge. We can also supply a race banner for your gazebo and T-shirts at cost. All we ask in return is that you put the stickers on your bike and use the race team board to share your build, preparations as well as updates of your race antics. If you already have a thread on the go elsewhere we can move that into the race team board on request. So if you are interested in being part of the race team, you fit the criteria, and you think you want to be a winged hammer then please send me a PM, giving details of your bike and the race event/s you are taking part in.
