In a few years time, when the exhausts have rotted out, along with the other bright work.......it'll no doubt end up being fitted with spannies etc.

A bit disappointed that modern 2 stroke oils burn MUCH cleaner than the old 2T shite we used to use.

It is very tidy, and the latest outlet for my OCD. Shiny this, stainless that, but bugger me it sups some fuel. Done more miles in a couple of weeks than its done in as many years, three tankfuls of fuel in 210 miles........... Wouldn't want to go touring on it away from main roads dotted with 24 hour service stations.

Each to their own, of "modding" is your thing, fine, but working hard at keeping it as Suzuki intended is mine.

None at all, it's as standard as a very standard thing, and is going to stay that way, for as long as possible.

A GT550 that is, and have trawled around looking for a nice one. This was completely restored a few years ago, virtually every component replaced with NOS stuff, inc std exhausts etc. Lovely piece of kit, off to get it MoT'd today. These pics were taken before it got attacked by a tube of Solvol last night, looks a different bike now.

Bigger bollts arrived, and fitted, but the left and right hand footrests are offset, front to back, so it's NEVER going to work. ABBA will reluctantly take back the stand, as long as it's not marked, but its cost me £20 to courier it back. Lesson learned.

So, went for some M10 x 50mm and M10 x 55mm, still too short for the left hand side......, so ordered some more online, M10 x 60 and M10 x 65. Should be here Tuesday, when I get home from working away for a couple of days, HOW hard can it be to get an ABBA stand to fit a GSX1100G ?

Yeah, but the bolts were too short (M10). They HAD put some longer bolts in, but different threads, so the Nyloc nuts were't any good, will have to go shopping for nuts tomorrow.

They DID arrive, but with the wrong sized bolts for the footreat hangers, SO ABBA are sending out some more today.

Much obliged, ABBA stuff ordered, will post picture of the beast on it, when they arrive on Wednesday.

So, I've got the 1100G Shafty in the garage, but the restorer has dumped the centre stand. I've got a FRONT paddock stand, which should work OK, but need suggestions about a rear, as of course it's a bit of a lopsided swing arm. ABBA stand or similar into the front Swingarm mounts ? Advice appreciated......
