the sump was clogged, as someone previusly had drilled & tapped it whilst on the bike. its all good now, i prefilled the oil filter this time & everything do it what it should thanks

Hi all, have an oil issue on my 95'' gsx750f. The engine flooded after the petcock failed. changed oil & filter, at first after filled with correct amount of oil no oil was showing on the sight glass.So i took sump off & cleaned it & the strainer etc to,now it fills up on the sight glass but after starting it seems to be being ''held'' back in the sump? bike was running perfect before the flooding, any help greatly appreciated
