Turned out to be a non starter, the stanchion has a machined finish below the swept area which would enter the swept area if I added an extension. I wonder if something like an 1100et or one of the factory customs of the era have a 37mm stanchion that's longer then the Kat one.....................
Ive got the front end off a GS1000L . Leading axle forks same as the 1100et can measure the length if you want

Had my GS 1000 about 20 odd years and always regret selling it. Something special about the sound of the old 8 valve engine and the Harris Black Chrome works exhaust it had. Howled like a banshee, when on full chat
Looked for a Harris before getting the delkvic. They were to far gone or to much money, the delkvic looks like the old alfa1 or the piper exhausts back in the day.

Ive heard you can still get them in black but i think they would sell well if they made them is chrome or stainless, had one on an old zed, looked the dogs.
As far as I know they were made under licence but quality was bit hit and miss. Still would have bought one tho even it meant spending time to make it fit

Test fitted the foot rests and plates and all looks ok. Just need to realign the foot pegs and might have to get a longer pipe for the brake reservoir , but it will fit on the original bracket

I would check the valve clearances as they might have tighten'd up on no3 if your getting fuel spitting back . As above if you've tried easy start and you've got a spark there is no reason it shouldn't run ,

Got the exhaust on to see how it fits. Apart from having to twist the back round so the bracket clears the wider swingarm it looks ok Ive left the no4 front pipe loose as was pulling the collector on to the frame, centre stand is off now so il mount a bracket from there once thats done no4 pipe will be persuaded to go in
