Which is doubly confusing as the Euro / UK GSX1100G was oil cooled 16v! but the GS1000G - 8v wasn't LOL!
The year model is where the main differences start with most of these weird different short lived models

I have a spare tank that someone repaired with flat mild steel its so bloody heavy hehe

Later Yoshimura race bikes had braced frames Moriwaki helped out with frame development

Swingarm is too narrow for that. The springs would get in the way of the caliper/sprocket, and would not be able to line up with the mounts on the frame as needed. And I don’t really want to cut it up.
Ah thats a shame, those WP's still look good maybe powder coating the springs a more period correct colour would be a option

Picked up a CalFab swingarm a while back, but once I won the bid…I came to realize it was originally for a Kwak, although it was on a GS1000 at the time. It will work, but I won’t be able to use my time period correct Fox shocks. Hard to say right now if I’ll use it or not…have TS/TM400 supermoto project that has to get done first.
Why not convert the clevis to eyes

geny and starter clutch on from a smaller bike.
Which ones work in such a manor and is it a direct swap or does it require backyard engineering

Gold anodized wheels or gloss black with polished stainless spokes would look quite nice with both a silver or semi gloss black engine.
Not that there is anything wrong with how it looks currently keep up the good work.

Have a look on some of the 3D printer sites.
I am sure I saw some a while back.
You may be able to download the file and get the dimensions of it.
Problem is the 750 isnt as popular as the 1100. I've found emblems for the 1100 easily but the 750 is quite difficult to find, a friend Is willing to print me some vinyl decals so I was just after dimensions

Trying to get motivated, and start working on the TS again…
…mounted tires onto the wheels, and balanced and trued them up.
Fit them to bike to verify that I have clearance for chain and front brake torque arm.
New Mikuni 34mm carb, NOS cables, and bike specific jets, to replace the 32
High end dual spark ignition to basically replace just about all the electrics, gain peace of mind along with more HP.
Loving this slight retromod SM build

Its funny how most people call's them an ET no matter what year they are. I tried to find a pic of the last model with the round clocks and headlight but coudn't find one !!!! i do have a pic or 2 but they are on my other (broken) laptop
Round headlight and clocks could be ordered from the start for the et/ex 750 they used the same gauges as the 850G
last models came with a different gauge I've read the transition year end of line 82 750 model came with better cams but never seen any concrete proof
